I need help with installation
« on: January 25, 2021, 09:32:54 PM »
I have a new gas tank and axles sitting in my garage. I was planning on installing myself with help of people who knew what they were doing.

Two months ago my finger was shredded in a belt sander accident and might lead to job loss. Then three weeks ago, my wife suffered a medical emergency too.

With piling medical bills, decreased pay at work, and the inability to use my dominant hand, I need help. We dont have much money laying around right now and need help installing axles and gas tank.

Is there anyone out there who knows how to install gas tanks and axles and gets a thrill out of doing it on he cheap side? I dont have much to barter with unless you need some old strollers or a broken lawn mower. My jeep is currently not my daily driver either so it is not a rush project.

Do you mind sharing if you have a garage, tools, and general location?  I am assuming Stafford?   I’m always up to helping out and am not afraid of turning wrenches.

I would only be able to offer the help of an unexperienced but willing person. I am no stranger to a wrench though, i've just never done an axle swap.

I have a garage, but low clearance. It is the bottom floor of a three story house.

When you say swapping an axle, what are we talking about, are you doing a bolt in upgrade or are you going to need help installing a four link system?

I'm available the weekend of 27/28 if anyone can help me install. Due to a finger injury, I'm barely able to work in my jeep. I have no clue what to do on this install but need to do it.
