Is the official date for the debut of the Ford Bronco if anyone cares. Competition is good.  Defender is not competition

I care, my Rengade is due for replacement in 2022, but my interest kinda dropped when I saw spy shots that show an independent front suspension...

I think that is definitely happening in the new Bronco.  But I have seen some interesting stuff.  But a lot will probably only come in the highest trim to compete with the Rubicon.  I did like the feature that will have one rear wheel turn slower than the other to make turning on the trail in 4wd tighter.

IFS isn't a deal killer for me, hell, the renegade is fully independent, but I was thinking something more easily modified, the different speeds on rear wheels sounds cool, but it also sounds like a pretty complex rear differential would be required to pull it off...

Ford PR folks are talking a lot of trash about the Bronco being superior to the Wrangler in AW and other places.

Competition is good. Cant wait for the Jeep PR folks to respond. Although its diffcult when your daddies are Fiat and Peugot.

Time will tall if one is better than the other.  I saw something about the Bronco having a front camera for trails and the only other company that offered it is Land Rover.  I guess they didn’t see one on the Gladiator Rubicon option list.  Does the Wrangler Rubicon have one?

Maybe the Ford one looks “through” the hood like the Land Rover one does, but the way it was stated made it sound like Jeep did not offer a camera at all.

Jeep has one as an option, I don't think it's Rubicon exclusive either. It sits at the top of the grill so it sees through the hood...

At least at first, it won't be even close in aftermarket support, and with an IFS setup, lift kits will be a while coming, if it isn't really good out of the box, it's gonna be hard for it to get traction no matter how much Ford talks a good game. If they try to 'Raptorize' it right off, they'll completely miss the mark for this market.

So do you think it was a marketing play or a botch that they are releasing the new Bronco on OJs birthday?

Huh...I didn't know it could do that.

Good Catch! If the one they show is White, that'll be pretty suspicious! First commercials who it on the highway being followed by a herd of CHP cars :)

Ford caved into pressure and move it again July 13 2020. On July 13, 1568 Dean of St. Paul's London, Alexander Nowell perfects a way to bottle beer

Pandering to good ole boys and beer drinkers.  But then I prefer my alcohol tax free, in a Mason jar,  and made from corn.
