So,now that we got snow----how that working for you.? :mrgreen
Yesterday it took my wife 3 hrs to get from Winchester to home a 40 min trip,(@3pm). In her XJ. Several times traffic was stopped on Rt 11 for no reason.
I left work at 6pm (N.Winchester) and it took 1 1/2 hrs for a normal 45 min trip. Dont know how many cars/vans were off the road in ditches, Trailer Truck had entrance to Rt 37 closed because it couldnt go in the slick road and jack knifed. Was going south or rt 11 until just south of Stephens City where there was a wreck and 11 was closed ,cops ran us around town and I had to use I 81 to get home.More trucks driving too fast for conditions...... Made it to Strasburg where half the town was in darkness and on to home.Get within 1 mile of the house and get behind V-dot plow tractor(local farmer)follow it until it turns into my road and then stops. Had to go around it and down the hill to the house. Son had already shoveled out the driveway :tu. Home for supper but phone/DSL was out ;(.
Checked out XJ ,snow had piled up on the grill and winch almost blocking off the whole grill yet temps stayed at 210/normal.

Well, being out in the snow yesterday was an adventure to say the least.  My poor husband (ravinejk) had a business dinner in DC which ended at 7pm and it took him 7 hours to get home from out of the district.  He had to take a gazillion side roads home. He didn't get home until 2am.  It was CRAZZZZZ-E out there!!

sure he wasnt playing for some of that?

the problem was that everyone was on the road or getting on the road when the snow started comeing down, and coming down fast.  if you stuck to the side roads you could get around. it was still slow going but you could move. thank god for a jeep

DAM SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I really want to move back to Texas I'll take a Hurricane any day over this Crap......2 more years and counting....
It took my wife 3.5 hours to go 12 miles. I got off at midnight last night and still took me 1.5 hours to go 7 miles. I was on McLarren and got to 28 and did a U turn and went Centerville road to 50. There was abondoned cars everywhere. 50 West was a Mess at 1am. saw Lots of plows out but doing Not a Thing all were sitting at 7-11 on 50W having coffie. What a waste of Tax dollars  .
Got home to a 3X4 wall of snow blocking my drive. shovled till 3am last night.
I hope everyone got home safe and sound.

Driveway wasn't too hard, it was getting to route 7 that was a b*tch. Most of it was 3 foot drift.
