*If you are familiar with our park and would like to go out without a guide, the following criteria must be met: 1. You must have at least two vehicles in your group. 2. You must sign in and out at the registration desk so we can make sure everyone is safely off the trails. 3. Your group must have, reliable communication equipment. More information on this will be available at check-in.
Food: We recommend packing your own food and drinks. Water and snacks/sandwiches are great to have with you on the trail, some trail rides may take hours to complete. There is a gas station with good sandwiches as well as several restaurants in the town of Capon Bridge. During some events we have a food vendor at the park making us delicious food, while we enjoy and appreciate this convenience, we cannot guarantee their presence.
Lodging/camping: Primitive camping is available onsite at the Park and passes can be purchased as part of registration. Buffalo Gap Retreat neighbors CORP and offers anything from primitive camping to full-service, multi-bedroom cottages, please contact them directly for reservations and information. There are two hotels in Winchester VA that offer “Chaos” discounts, the Courtyard by Marriott and the Country Inn & Suites, both of these are surrounded by stores and restaurants and we’ve enjoyed our stays at both.
Clothing and Gear: We recommend hiking/outdoor camping gear and footwear appropriate for the season. While we have porta-potties at camp, you will be spending most of your weekend on the trails, bring your essentials, and remember a trash bag. Please help us keep the trails clean by taking your trash with you.
Chaos Off Road Park is on private property, and is only opened to the public on announced event weekends entry to park grounds at any other time is not allowed
