GER trip October 11-14.....

Looking to head back to GER. Good friend invited me this month but schedules are not aligning for an August /September run. Last we were there it was an absolute blast and the staff could not have been more friendly. The racoons.... well they were curious a bit too much.

Our calendar is more open in October. thinking mid to late October to coincide with the color change maybe.

1) Red Jeep
2) Fearless
3) 3Volve


Reached out to GER on a Group site. We have a group site at the far end of the park past the barns.

My travel plan is to leave out of King George 0700. Meeting any interested in Convoying out at Sheetz 5504 Germanna Hwy, Locust Grove, VA 22508. (this is the intersection of RT3 and RT 20). With fuel stop before entering the park this should put us there by 1300. Lots of time to set up and maybe even run some of the park.

Route will take me west on 64 to 64/81 south to 64 west. Will be monitoring VHF 151.625 and GMRS 462.5500 (GMRS ch 15) Look for the Red Jeep trailer in tow.

FYI, GER has a big Halloween even going on the weekend leading up to Halloween. You may want to check their calendar. Fyi. A group I am going with switched our plans to 11/1 weekend for that reason.

Will have to look at dates. Sept is going to be kind of tight and the Red Jeep is going in for some needed upgrades in November... Maybe early Oct? should be fairly warm and the colors should be just starting.

I did ger on 35" with 3" lift. Cripple Creek was more challenging.

We will run lots of stuff. If you want to try the challenges we are there to support you. We ran cripple Creek with new folks and they had a blast. You are more than welcome to join us. Make sure your winch is up to snuff.

Ok the Boss has it on the calendar now. 11-14 Oct. Travel on 11 and 14, wheel on 12/13. Spaz is celebrating another day older on the 13th so bring some party favors for the party.

Trails. Yes we will run lots of them. Like anothe rcrack at Cripple creek and maybe Rubicon as well. Last we went had a couple lessor modified rigs and new drivers yet we still ran lots of fun trails. Cripple creek we all pulled winch line so no worries workign challenges is all part of the game. If you are are up for it come join the fun. if you want to hang with the group geat welcome aboard.

WHile more than one will have to drive their rigs home we will treat all with that mentality.

We have a few minutes until this trail run.
Please make sure your winch is in good working order. Simply put. unwind it to the last 5 wraps and make sure it is free if defects and clean. rewind under tension. Make sure the electrical connections are good tight and clean.
