Fox 2.5 Shocks
« on: September 11, 2021, 08:18:33 PM »
So seems that at Camp Heep, I cracked one of my rear shocks a little.  Nothing major, but leaking some oil.  No biggie, just figured I get a couple replacements for rear as I am pretty happy with the ride I currently have (Mopar 2" lift)...much to my dismay, it seems the 2.5 inch diameter shocks that come on the kit are not available for sale separately (outside buying the whole kit)...
So now I am torn of getting the Fox 2.0 shock replacement that fits (but I am worried will not ride as well) or the reservoir shocks that are a little more money and still a 2" shock.

Dont have the funding to do an entire 4 shock or lift replacement...  grrr....

Assuming you have the 3.6l in your Ruby, this is the rear shock based on the part number from the lift kit instructions, they ain't cheap, but definitely cheaper than the whole lift again! It also might not have a Fox sticker on it, I couldn't find an actual picture of it anywhere.

Call Foxs tech support number or email them and maybe they can sell you two new rear shocks. Or provide a parts number. Shocks should always be replaced in pairs

Yeah, my plan is to try and call the dealer tomorrow and if that fails, I may call Fox.  Planning to do both rear.   :tu
