Hood gas strut install
« on: July 22, 2021, 07:14:57 AM »
Not really a tech talk, more of a recommendation. As some know, I lost an arm and have figured out most daily tasks. There are some thing that are just impossible. Lifting a hood and maneuvering a prop rod is one.
Enter Redline Tuning.

Their gas strut kits are awesome. Installed in less than 20 minutes (with help), works perfectly, looks factory.

How easy are they to disconnect?

I love being able to throw the hood back to the windshield if I need more room for exploration /crawling in there.

They're just like struts on SUV rear hatch. The gas strut pops right off the ball stud.

Have them on my Gladiator and love them. Quick disconnect lever makes it super easy to disconnect and fold the hood all the way back too when needed.
