AC leaking
« on: June 14, 2021, 06:50:30 PM »
It appears that the air conditioner is leaking on the passenger side.

Suggestions on where to start? Is this something simple to repair? Or should I take it to my mechanic?

Thanks in advance!!

John

Do you mean it is leaking in the cab?

Yes inside the cab, flooding the floor. It was bad enough that the water made it to the rear passenger side floor as well.

I found a video suggesting clear the drain in the engine compartment so I did that last night. I'll run the AC again today and see what happens.

Based on your screen name, I assume you have an LJ?

If so, it is common on the TJ/LJ models for the cowl vent to get clogged and hold water. Then that water gets into the intake for the HVAC system.

Just a thought.
