GPS with Off-Road and Forest Roads
« on: April 06, 2021, 12:46:57 PM »
Are there any GPS Units out there that have off-road maps and forest road maps on them?  Just curious.  Thanks!

Many of the forest roads are in GPSs, especially if you have to have a licensed vehicle to drive on them.  As far as the parks and stuff I know there are apps for them, but I would doubt the GPS would have them in it.

Gaia maps, OnX, and most OEM Jeep Nav systems have forest roads on them.

My 8 year old Garmin has forest roads like Flagpole and Peters mill marked.

It's not reliant on cell signal, so it's usually more reliable than my phone.

I use Gaia GPS on an iPad (external Bluetooth GPS receiver) in my Jeep. Works great.

Which receiver are you using?
US Army Veteran - Berlin Brigade, 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division, 2nd Infantry Divisions (Camp Bonifas & Stanley), Department of the Army (Walter Reed & DIA).

I use the Garmin GLO Bluetooth GPS. Here's a link to the one I have. There may be a newer model. Not sure.
