Only 11 Days
« on: July 02, 2020, 12:47:59 PM »
Ford will reveal the all-new Ford Bronco lineup across Disney’s broadcast, cable, digital and streaming properties. On Monday, July 13, three custom 3-minute films will air on ABC, ESPN, and National Geographic, in each network’s first commercial break in the 8:00 p.m. ET hour. All three films will be available on-demand on Hulu the following day.

I guess I have to discontinue my boycott of Disney owned station on July 12 for 3 minutes.

Competition improves the breed. Maybe Chevy/GM will come out with something. Not sure what they will name it since Chevy uses the Blazer name on a very mediocre CUV.

I like what I have seen.  Waiting to see how it performs and what people do to them to “build them”.  Not in the market, but I like the looks.

I really don't understand the hype. I don't see anything that's ground breaking, just a clone of the Wrangler with different aesthetics.

But, as an 80s child, I only know if the bronco from OJ. So, I also don't have any kind of history or expectations for the name.

As a kid from the 70’s I loved the first gen and the Scouts and never really saw a Jeep until the 80s.  This new Bronco definitely has the cues from the first gen.  I think Ford does Retro pretty well recently.

I think it looks pretty good. Except the sport.

I do agree there are a lot of things that look like a Wrangler but the front end for sure looks like a bronco.

I think it is funny to see all the stuff they "stole" from the Wrangler almost like the brought in a Wrangler and reverse engineered it. There are a few Easter eggs like the hood mounts have the bronco grill. They claim to have the only away bar disconnect in the class but I guess it is hydraulic and not electric like the Wrangler. But Wrangler has been doing it since 2003 I think.

I do think it is really cool you can get the Sasquatch package on the base model. So essentially you could buy a base model for 30k and have the Sasquatch package which gives it lockers and 35s from the factory but not all the other stuff if you don't want it.

In the end, I think it is good that it is good competition for the Wrangler. It sounds like there will be a lot of factory accessories too. All of that will force Jeep to be innovative and competitive.

I really like the rubberized flooring. They advertised drain holes in the floor, but only mentioned that the Land Rover didn't have them. Didn't mention that Jeep has had drain plugs in the floor forever. Still, I wish the rubberized flooring was an option in the Wrangler. I pulled the carpet out of mine already. On an off-road vehicle carpet is not needed.

Might show up at Ford dealer in late April with a few muddy herding dogs to include my own just to see if the dogs can jump up into Bronco with 35's.

If it wasnt for the Covid would have driven down the street to Land Rover dealer and  checked out the Defender with Scottish herding dogs.

The two door sasquatch looks interesting.  7 Speed manual....my left knee might start to ache after a few miles in traffic.  The transfer case looks to be electronic.  Ill go check them out when they hit the stealerships.  I want to see if Jeep will actually make the Wagoneer again.

Early Broncos and International Scouts had fiberglass door inserts to clean that look up, Hopefully something like that will come out for these...

Although honestly, since there is no window frame on the doors, I'd probably not take them off, there almost a half door already..
