Best place to list a modified Wrangler for sale?
« on: February 13, 2020, 08:30:04 PM »
I'm considering moving to a 4 Door, so I'll get more use out of a Jeep.  My preference is to not part out my LJ, so where are the best places to list a modified Wrangler?  Also, I have no idea how to put a price on it that won't scare people away immediately.  Where the heck do I even start?

I don’t know if you Facebook or not, but there’s a couple LJ specific groups on there that tends to be good for pricing as well as not scared off by reasonably priced rigs for what they are.

Well Rich,  sorry to hear you will sell it, but space, comfort, and 4 drs is why I got rid of my TJ..so don’t blame you. As far as reach in distance goes, Facebook groups might be your best bet imho.. I think Craigslist is dying, maybe wrangler forum would be good., good luck!

If you want to keep it for future generations and use I'll happily garage keep it for you at my house. Just need a set of keys and a to do list after each wheeling trip to keep it as clean as you need it.

I promise I'll even fix what I brake!

I figured Facebook might be a place.  I don't have an account, and am not planning to get one.  If I get serious, not there yet, I may have to find a proxy.  For now, the thought of selling doesn't put me in a happy place!

I understand completely. If you end up listing it, let me know I'll share it with those groups to get the word out. I also watch for those LJ leftover parts sales too :)

If you'd like I can also put a picture of the Jeep up on my Instagram story (others can do the same) to get it shared on different social media accounts. Lots of Jeep people stalk stories like it's their job LOL - figured that might be a good idea.

I am sure lots of us on here have IG accounts, might help. Facebook marketplace and Jeep pages are usually where I see things listed for sale as well, and some are really good catches.
Price, and mod list would help but I know that's a tough place to start right now especially if you aren't happy about selling it.
Be happy to help both ways  :cheers

2 things Rich:  (1) What are you trying to sell it for?  (2) Auto or manual?  Just curious!  Thank you sir!  :tu
