Sporting Clays Event
« on: January 24, 2020, 09:09:59 AM »
This was brought up a loooooooong time ago.  I was thinking recently if anyone would be interested in meeting up for a round or two of sporting clays.  If so, we can work out a time and location.  If you would have any interest in this, post up that you are and we will go from there!

A little information for anyone that is not familiar:  Sporting clays is a shotgun sport where you shoot clay targets from varying presentations.  A round (50-100) usually costs anywhere from $11-$25 for a round of 50 and then your cost of shells, usually around $12-$15.  So, all in you would have about $30-$50 in the round.  You need a gun that is capable of shooting at least 2 shells in rapid succession.  Depending on numbers I can provide a gun so you can avoid renting.  There is a range in Chantilly, Remington, Hagerstown and chambersburg.

Let me know if you are interested!

I am interested Chris. Don’t have a shotgun though.  Depending on how it works out I can probably get something figured out before the event. Clearly would be a novice at it.

We can do that Alex.  You can certainly use one of my guns.  I will catch up to you the next time we go.  Then, if we have a group here you will have some experience with it.  It is a lot of fun if nothing else!

I could be on for this. Haven’t been in years. Maybe I could justify a double barrel or semi to the collection.
