In retrospect, I should have asked for help, and these top lift pros dont fit LJs. @KelJ

Since I was already neck deep in Jeep stuff this week, I continued with battery replacement. With the propensity of the factory battery to poop the sheets at the 4 year mark, which I'm at, and a big trip coming, I decided to be pre-emptive.
Was planning Optima till I saw they were bought out and no longer proprietary. Being made by Exide and the quality has suffered, so just your basic DieHard H7.
Added new cable management blocks from Epic Adventure Outfitters. https://epic-4wd.com/en-us/collecti...n-block-kit-for-jeep-wrangler-gladiator-jl-jt

Provides lots of new mount points as well as a remote ground block tied to the body ground on edge of engine bay. Very pleased.

Whenever I see a garage this clean I start to think I am a hoarder. I really need to clean up my garage. I can't even blame the kids, most of the junk is mine.

Steps:
✔️Admit I have a problem
❌Do something about it
I debated posting this since I hate how messy it is! Really trying to keep it organized and usable.

A couple days late but I finally took my doors off (front ones since my girls booster seats are in the rear). My youngest daughter loves her jeep hair (don’t care) look when we arrive to her pre-k school. My oldest does not like her hair being blown around lol, but she always talks about having her own jeep at the age of 7, haha.

I put the soft top on last week and today I hung up the hard top under the deck in the backyard. I think I’m still going to wrap a tarp around it but a little worried for high winds. I’m in a townhouse so it is pretty protected but still looking to lock it in better. Any ideas on how to get it more stable?

Do you need to store it hung? Could you find a roof sized crate or storage bin to keep it in on the ground?

Yea it’s needs to be hung. Since I don’t have a fence in my backyard I can’t even have a shed or anything. I’m not even sure I can have it hung but we’ll see if I get an HOA letter.

Can you get the top closer to the joists (higher)? Less likely to swing with winds

That was my initial plan but the ratchet just stoped where it’s at, won’t let me ratchet any higher. I’m thinking I’ll see if I can raise the ratchet side of the strap higher.

Could you build a wooden structure that drops down from the deck that you slide the roof into?

Aux Battery Delete... simple? yes... Issues ...Yes.

Apparently when doing this for those with climate control, you loose the ability to dial in a temperature. After a few hours of trouble shooting and so quality time on the interwebs, it turns out the U connect system just needed a reboot. Simple procedure Hold radio tune and on/off/volume at the same time for 30 sec.

Did I tell you how much I hate computerized cars....

Well no pics but I tried to “de-Moab” it

Oil and filter change
Tire rotation
Lubed all the grease fittings
Changed air filter
Changed cabin filter
Pulled EVERYTHING out of the inside including all the carpet and vacuumed and wiped everything down
Then cleaned the outside
Climbed under and threw some black rattle can rust prevention paint on all the rock rash after sanding of course.

Sooooo should be good for the next wheeling adventure now!
