What did you do to your Jeep today- March 2025

found out why my steering is sloppy. had the steering fluid replaced last sunday and the issue started shortly after. took it back today to where i had it done and asked them what they did to my steering. after some show and tell of how it was acting, we noticed that the metal cloak trackbar was wobbling and not in a good way. it is adjustable but the nut is tight. i think it snapped in half down the length of the adjustable part.

sigh...gonna have to take it to @Dirt Nerds Motors tomorrow to get it looked at.

It is not what I have done....but what I need to do. This weekend's punch list:
a. Install Engine/Transfer case Skid Plate.....or I might just paint it red and install later.
b. Clean the engine bay.....I still have mud from the fall foliage ride giving me the finger every time I pop the hood.
c. Install OTRATTW toggle switches for the SPOD.
d. Shave down the rock sliders.
e. Install the EVAP canister relocation bracket.

Not in any order of precedence, though it should be. Open to suggestions.

Spent 6 hours tracking down various codes caused by some bad kit supplied with the catch can going to pull the whole assembly off after finding that it will throw codes if installed. The Tuner is not available to adjust. DAMN new vehicles.

Thanks Donnie. As R3 mentioned, they call it Hyper Velocity Yellow. I have zero excuse for not finding it I a parking lot.

I find driving a vehicle of any actual color (blue, red, green, yellow) stands out nicely in a parking lot amongst a sea of 50 shades of grey automobiles. The extra height also helps.

Totally agree with that! It is crazy to watch a line of cars drive by and 9 out of every 10 is grey, black, silver or white.

Thanks to @BullRun4x4 got the RockHard cage, rear overhead bars, and rear straight across bar ordered. I'm not as interested in the safety (which is a plus) as I was I am about how much body and frame twisting is happening when wheeling. 2 weeks ago, my windshield partially popped out of the frame and had to get it reinstalled. Pretty sure it was from all the twisting.

Once I'll get it, I'll install, unpainted. Have a trip coming up. Then when I get back I'll pull it back out and get it body color matched.

Just paint the cage with some Steel-IT first before you go so it doesn't rust.

Not today but this weekend. Installed the Chinese knock off ARB Twin Compressor and 4-tire inflation system. The knock off compressor is EXACTLY the same as the ARB twin for a 1/3 of the price. I installed it using Grimm Offroad behind the fender bracket and it was all perfect plug and play. Really works amazing, deflated from 32psi to 15 in 3 minutes and inflated from 15 to 35psi 6 minutes 22seconds. The gauge shows 33.8psi but the TPMS shows exactly 35. Either way, to inflate all 4 in six and a half minutes I was blown away. Highly recommend both. Will have better pictures next weekend when we go off roading.

If you end up wanting a short extension so you don't have to plug the manifold directly into the port in the engine bay, Harbor Freight sells remnants which are 8-15 ft, and the couplers are also affordable.

Terrence Got new shoes today. Terrence also needed correction to his alignment. One shoe was messed up from factory so I have to wait to have the spare replaced on Wednesday

I had been casually monitoring the forums and marketplace for a set of Xtreme Recon 392 wheels/tires from a wrangler. Specifically the original style when they first came out. Knowing that they discontinued them a few years back I thought it would take awhile.

Last week I found a set of XR 392 wheels/tires with the 25 bolt trim ring (rather than the 10 bolt ring jeep later went to.)

The price was very good but I had to go to South Carolina for them. So I drove the Gladiator down yesterday, stayed the night, picked them up first thing this morning and drove back.

When I got home, I unloaded and washed them. Hopefully I can get them on later this week then use the Tazer to adjust the tire size for the 35s.

On a side note, the people on marketplace were super easy to work worth and made everything a breeze.

On another side note, I continue to be amazed with how the Gladiator drives in the highway; especially loaded with the wheels today. Super smooth and easy to drive. Also, getting 28 MPG in a vehicle shaped like a shoebox driving through the mountains is pretty awesome.
