Finishing up sanding down surface rust in preperation for the floor patching in the future this past week.

Finally got a proper hose clamp and new fuel line for the fuel filter.

5 bolts still to get out of the floor.

Painted the windshield. Will give it 3-4 days to cure. Then some rubbing compound and glass install.

Last night I finally got the SGW cables unplugged so I could install a bypass module/download JSCAN in prep for installing LED Rubicon fenders later. What a tight and sharp fit, especially with the alpine bracket...my hand will never be the same 😩 Still have to install the z automotive extension cable at some point so I never have to go through that again

I threw three new codes. Looks like I'll be having new coils installed! Did the tune-up at 200,000 miles, but didn't replace the coils. I know, dumb on my part! P0301, P0303 and P0305. Multiple cylinder misfires!

Unfortunately, I have not seen my Jeep for a few days, but did change the battery in my dad's Grand Cherokee today. Was definitely a pain in the rear as it is under the passenger seat.

Got the Z Automotive SGW Extension cable installed! Figured out the proper technique and was a lot easier than getting that out. I'm happy to never have to mess with that tight spot again.

Also tried JSCAN for the first time to confirm the ECRI bypass module would let me write over settings. There were so many settings in JSCAN, I feel like I need a book...Anyway I finally found one good for a demonstration: was able to verify it worked by turning off the setting that deactivates fog lights when high beams are on:

My Charger battery was in the trunk.

Installed the UCF aluminum gas tank skid, a fuel pump, new hoses, and rollover valve. Well one of them, didn't know there were 2.

While it was on the lift I put my hands on everything and just looked around. Grabbed the front stock driveshaft and there is quite a bit of play in the slip joint up and down. Guess I'll be calling Tom Woods up today for a new CV style front drive shaft. Once I get that new drive shaft and my Dana 489 ships and installed, there isn't much underneath that I haven't touched at this point.

After my last trip to Rausch a month ago, I was very happy with the capability of my Jeep after adding the HP D30 with an ARB.

On the drive home that night, I started to think I would like to modernize the inside of the TJ to make it a little more hospitable for drives to Flagpole, Rausch, etc.

So my first step was to add a touchscreen stereo with Android auto and a backup camera. I got the stereo installed and everything is working fine. Now I just need to find a mount for the rear camera.

For the money, which I admit I did not spend a lot, I'm happy with the outcome. I have the ability to add a front camera if I want which I may do to help out off road.
