OK, I replaced the battery in both key fobs and all is good now. No more intermittent errors from the Jeep not detecting the key fob. I know, that seems obvious to many of y'all. All I can say in my defense is, they are listed as 3V batteries and were putting out 3.02V and 3.03V respectively. The new batteries were outputting 3.2V according the volt-ohm meter.I never got as far as bypassing the AUX battery. I read the following post and discovered it is not just me, but others have experience the same issue since the cold front hit.
So, I went to my Jeep, tried both keyfobs again and everything worked fine. Battery voltage on the dash reads 14.9V. I haven't seen any other issues or messages, such as ESS not working, to indicate the AUX battery failing. Go figure.
That’s a nice setup!New wheels, tires, spare tire mount, and disconnects installed by BullRun4x4 !

FYI to @22BlueWilly and whoever else doesn't know yet.
If you want to tag members on this forum you have to use the @ symbol and then members name. like @BullRun4x4. it will actually give you a drop down when you start typing the member name and you can select the correct member instead of typing the whole name. Once you tag them it will show up as an alert to that member under the little bell on the header menu.
The old coding doesnt work here anymore.
