Tube Notcher

Does anyone have a tube notcher? I'm looking to notch some 1.5" diameter by .12" wall DOM to practice some welding on for an upcoming roll cage project. I would happily pay for usage. Please let me know.

If you believe it is a one time job, Harbor Freight has one for $60. I have that style and build a racecar cage with it without too much issue.

That's what I ended up doing. It worked great for my purposes.

You can use a bandsaw as well, you cut and flip the pipe 180 to notch it. More math though. You gotta find the centerline, and then the angle to cut.

Hey Sarkis, I have a Baleigh tube notcher at my home shop. It needs one part replaced on it but you are welcome to come by and use it.

Hey Mike, thanks for the offer. I ended up getting the Harbor Freight one and it met my needs for practicing on some tube before I begin my Genright cage build. I picked up the cage for a steal from a guy near Newport News who had it sitting in his shed since COVID and sold his project.
