Thinking of a Potts mountain run in June. 21.
Thinking run down Friday and camp, run the trail Saturday and camp the night and then head back Sunday.
- Rally at the Pines campground Friday https://g.co/kgs/MskHJ9g
- Run the trail Saturday with lunch on the trail.
- Saturday Night at The Pines campground.
- RTB on Sunday.
Usual requirements:
- recovery gear
- full size spare and tool to change on trail
- If you have a winch. OP check it before the run and make sure the line is wound correctly.
- Tools to fix your rig
- First Aid kit and fire extinguisher
Comms will be on GMRS channel TBD for ride.
Notes:
- Bring a positive attitude! This is fun remember
This is not an impossible trail but there are sections that will be difficult to transit.
- Spotter are there to help you and limit damage to your rig. Listen to them or not it is your choice.
- We exercise Tread Lightly principals on this run. This mean more than pack it in Pack it out. Stay the trail, respect the land and avoid tearing up the trail unnecessarily.
- Obstacles, I follow a three tries and then you on the hook. This avoid tearing the trail up and keeps the group moving
- If you have a winch, make sure you have the controller, Make sure it is in good working order ( yes this mean OP check it before the run and spool the line neatly) , make sure the line (synthetic or steel) is in good shape and ready for service.
- Make sure you r rig is in good working order. if there are known issues fix them before the run please.
Maps, cell service is minimal in this area. Down load any map data to you device for off-line use.
