Good day Nova Jeepers, i am planning to run these two-trails next week, June 19 and 20th. To be clear I am not hosting or leading this trail. This is a "If you want to wheel together/meet join me".

Peter Mills Trail - Jeep Badge. June 19th around lunch time, GMRS 17 if you have a radio. I plan to have my radio on and listen for others that might need help.
Wolf Den Run - Jeep badge trail 2103. June 20th around lunch time. Same as above GMRS17.
FYI... These two trails require individual permits. Do your research.

I am new to the area and leave in August. It would be cool to wheel with some of you. Send me a message or reply to this post if you plan to join me.

Echo that, don't go alone. I have some of the most difficult recoveries and life threatening injuries on Green trails. Not sure why the disclaimer, Just because you lead a ride doesn't make you responsible for the others in you group other than making sure you come back with the same number you left with.

I am aware of three trips members have made to Wolf Den. Two out of the three involved winch recovery of multiple jeeps. One trip also had a tire come off of the bead. Everyone made it home safe through the help of others and the correct use use of recovery gear. I would highly encourage you to travel with a group and ensure there are Jeeps in the group with recovery equipment and the knowledge how to properly and safely use it.

Here are some pictures from one of the trips.

Here is the most recent trail report (in the member's section for anyone who can't see it)

I hope you have a fun and safe ride.

Oh wow, now i understand how people get stuck. I will visit Wolf Den, see if i can join any group present that day. If not i am turning back. Definitely not messing with mud by myself. Hopefully i can convince some NOVA members to join me.

I updated my thread with this info, but wanted to share it here too. This is a great example of how what looks to be an easy trail can turn sideways quickly.

Here is a short video of one of the easy recoveries we did that day. Sorry for the choppy video...

We were trying to get it back on the trail and facing the right direction, so we could get everyone home.

Mud really fills in the spaces between lugs on a tire tread doesn’t it? Yuck. Mud is the devil 😂
