Members Only: Wrenching Party Sunday August 25th.

Added to Calendar: 08-25-24

I’d love to come and help out. I’ve got some small projects I could work on, but mainly want to lend a hand to others if needed.

Bring them with! If we have time / extra hands we can knock them out!

Had a great time today. Huge thanks to Kevin and Sarah!!! R3 was not kidding when he was talking about the awesome pizza.

Thank you so much Kevin (Galactica) & Sarah (WNDR-XJ) for opening up your home, garage and car port for this event. It was my first wrenching party and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home made pizzas were awesome. Also, thank you to Scott (Nacho), Andy (CookieMonster) & Sarah (WNDR-XJ) for your help getting my front bumper off and then getting things buttoned up later. It was totally great!

New to the club. I know this is an old thread but hopefully someone will reply. I pulled the trigger on a new lift kit. I do most of the work on my Jeep that I feel I'm competent enough to do ( or can learn from a YT video). I know putting a lift on isn't really a one person job and Amy's physical condition doesn't really allow her to help me much. Would a lift kit install be something "doable" at a wrenching party, or should I just pay to have someone install it?

We have done plenty of lifts at wrenching parties. As long as it is planned ahead and not just showing up and saying, “let’s do this”, it should not be a problem.

Great to know.
Yep, depending on the type of lift you are looking to install, it could be done in a day. If you are looking to do a full 4link and coil over conversation, it may take a bit longer. What type of kit are you looking to install?

I would agree with what everyone else is saying here.

There are a few things you can do to help the process prior as well. For example, once you pick a date for the install, start soaking all the bolts a week prior with PB blaster. Also, if there are other things that can be done ahead of time like setting adjustable control arms to suggested lengths, etc. those little things go a long way in making the install go more quickly.
