Discovered today that one of the rear defrost tabs is broken off/disconnected from the rear window. It looks like maybe someone soldered it at some point in the past. Any recommendations for approaches to fix it?

It looks like you have a 2019, and I recall some earlier year JLs having one side of the rear defroster disconnecting at the glass. There was even a TSB issued. The affordable solution was to use electrically conductive adhesive. If you are out of warranty, I'd swing by an auto store and pick some up, or order from amazon. I don't have any experience with either brand (locktite or permatex) to say one is better for this application.
