Another Gldiator build

Living with the new PSC box is a real joy. no more dead zone and no more 3inch of play in the wheel. Steering stopped with brakes on is easy not more struggling to make the OEM box steer. D60 to be installed on the 11th if anyone want to lead a hand.

Are you doing the install at your place?

I may be able to help in the 11th. My brother is coming into town around that time so it will depend on his schedule. I'll let you know when I find out.

I don't have any experience installing axles but I'm willing to learn and can generally follow directions. If my experience level isn't helpful, let me know and I won't take it personally.

The fun never ends...
Brand New D60 installed. Took it on a test ride today. I get a howl at 42-55 on accel and decell. above or below sounds great. No slop or play... sounds like the set up is not right.

fun never ends....

Wow! That wasn't an ecgs axle was it?

I seem to have become their defacto QA. Yes we did have some growing pains on the Red Jeep kit. All were satisfied quickly. It seems with this issue in an effort to keep costs down the gear sets they chose initially whine. I am told to keep driving it ( break in cycles) and if I am still not satisfied they will replace the gear set Friday when I come down for the front Gear change.

Shops all have issues , it is how they satisfy those issues with their customer. While this is an annoyance the solution was straight forward with no haggling. This is why I tend to gravitate to shops like ECGS. Yes it would be better if it were "right the first time"

Drove it to work this morning and yes it whines but the sound is getting quieter. So we will see how the break in goes. It is very nice having that beef back there. Anyone need a M220 axles with locker for their JT?

Glad to hear there may be possible solution for this.

It is all about how the shop deals with issues, No hassle, no fuss, just lets make it right. That is not a common approach in todays world.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your new rig on the 14th.
I am hoping to have the suspension in by then. Still lots of work to do and time is getting short. I am thinking the 31/1st for the Suspension install. That is the big rock to get by, after that it should be easy projects.

Installed a bullet point mounting system and have a new tablet for OnX. Still need to program the radio and install an antenna. And then there is the Aux battery to install... that one might be more interesting as I do not know if I have to build a cabinet or it will fit under the rear seats.
Still need to kit out the bed. Fridge install with slider and build a pull out storage and mount for the Blackstone . I think I need to take a couple sick days to get this all done.

Took a page out of @spnkzyj book and decided to start the install of the genesis Aux power system. This fits up under the rear seats on a Gladiator and provides for a easy to hook up power source for all the auxiliaries. The literature stated that the Group 31 battery would not fit under the seat ( yup read that after ordering a Group 31 AGM) but I was pleasantly surprised that it fits very nicely under the seats. I loose my storage cubby, the gain of an real Aux battery outweighs the storage loss. Next up run the cabling and get ready for the suspension install after memorial day weekend.

Next years project maybe....
